Figured I may as well write some random things in here.
For starters, I had a piece make it into my school's juried student show this year- to be exact, this piece here -> mufftigg.deviantart.com/art/Lo…
For those of you who know where I go to school and wish to see it in person, feel free.
Some of you may have noticed that I have started posting a lot more work that I used to as well, and that most of the work are photos of 3D pieces that I have made. What happened to the comics and the doodles? Well, the main reason that the comics and doodles have gone away is a massive artistic block I've been having. And it's not just that I can't think of anything to draw or that I am having issues getting my ideas onto the paper the right way, I just seem to have lost an interest in drawing at the moment. Also, my scanner has been buried under a mound of stuff for a while now (old homework, junk mail, mail that you should open and read but could care less about....) However, I have been making a good deal of things that don't really work with a scanner (Ceramics, primarily, but also bits of jewelery and sculptural pieces) but for a long time I lacked a good way to photograph these in a way that does them justice. But now I have a nice little set of lamps and a photo tent thingy (whatever the proper name for it is), and I've been able to start posting these things.
Will the silly comics and doodles come back? No idea. Perhaps.
And what time I have that has not been sucked up by school or ceramics has recently been sucked into the time vortex by Doctor Who. Yes, I started watching it, and no, I haven't really been able to stop. After so much exposure to the absolute junk that's on American TV, I kind of forgot how good an engaging plot with good actors can be. The show has rekindled a bit of the creative spark in me, but I don't know how far it'll go. Mostly, I just want to make a Dalek tea set now. Not sure how that will work, but it seems like fun.

*lazy*
So....
I probably should update this gallery with some of the work that I've been doing lately. But I've been either lost is LotRO (I swear I'm not addicted to the game, honest), actually doing my schoolwork, or just being flat out lazy. Most of the work I've been doing lately needs to be photographed, as it doesn't really work with a scanner (darn those 3D arts. Not really. I love 'em.) While I do have a camera, and am in the process of acquiring a decent photo shooting space, I was somewhat wondering if anyone had any tips on good ways to shoot images of 3D art. In particular, on the subject of taking pictures of ceramic pieces when you ha
Massive Update on the way
So, for those of you who have grown tired an bored of my amateurish photography and digital work, fear not! For I have recent excavated my scanner from the depths of my room and started scanning in sketches again.
Not sure if they'll be all going up at once (not likely, I'm too lazy for long upload sessions) or in bits and pieces (this is far more likely). You may even be getting a story along the way (if I ever get through editing it).
Ahh.... the empty summer months. Great for cramming in all the stuff you couldn't get done during the school year. Who said we get breaks?
R.I.P. Muffin
My cat Muffin just passed away a short while ago from the same causes that claimed his brother last year in February.
Been a while since I updated this thing....
Mostly because there hasn't been any real news to update it with. But now there is.
Once again it is the time of year for my school's Jurried Student art Show. So, last week, I submitted three of my pieces for judging, not really expecting any of them to make it in, since there were so many other really good entries. The results were posted today, and lo-and-behold, all three of my pieces were accepted. (Which really took me by surprise- I felt that one of them was rather shoddy and poorly done)
For those of you who would like to see the show, the dates and times will be posted on the school's gallery website. For privacy reasons, I will no

DALEK TEA SET PLEASE MAKE IT PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE.
As for the doodles, well, we all grow out of stuff. (Scissors Fu! is basically done, in my case.) If they come back yay, if not, that's fine too. Artist's block is a bitch.
